Hello!
My name is Gianna Ramirez and I am so excited to be a part of the team going on the 2023 gap year program.
I began the summer after my junior year not knowing what was going to be next for me. This was the time to start thinking about college and work and what I would be doing in the next stage of my life after high school.
I went to a week-long summer camp here in California called Hume Lake where I got to spend an amazing week in prayer, worship, fellowship, and got to listen to some amazing messages. After that awesome week, during one of our Wednesday night youth group services, we had a guest speaker who told about his experience with the World Race as an introduction into his message.
As he talked about his experience with the world race, it sounded exactly like what I wanted to do. I love to travel and being able to do that and do God’s work was like a dream come true. I looked into the world race website and information center and after close to two months of prayer and talking to my family and friends, I decided to apply. I was so excited to be accepted into the race and cannot wait for everything we will do.
Thank you for joining me on my journey as I begin to fundraise for my trip. I will try to post regularly about information on the countries we will be going to, things we will do in each country, and whatever other info you guys want to learn about!
